2009-10-13J.MWent there recently. Has a dedicated classic arcade section. Also has a whole bunch of the modern games as well. The place is huge and there are A LOT of arcade games. They also have laser tag in that same building. Really awesome arcade place.
2009-06-11SameerI went here the other day,it WAS awesome
2008-08-03ChrisTheir classic game section is pretty good. Robotron works great. Donkey Kong stick is still broken/annoying but they have a multi-game machine right outside "classic corner" that has like 24 games and Donkey Kong 1 2 and 3 are all in there and the machine worked great. Pinball was great but LOTR machine stole my tokens.
2008-03-06EricThis place was great! A nice dedication to classic gaming with their "Classics Corner". Entering the classic's corner made me feel like stepping back in time. The room was darker than the rest of the arcade adding to the mystique of the era. I didn't see Discs of Tron however, and the guy working there had no idea what that game was. Oh well. They still have original Tron. Most of the games worked great. I lost a token in Qbert so beware.
2008-01-24CartoucheI lived in Santa Cruz back in the late 80s-early 90s, and went here all the time. I went back for a visit this month. Terrific selection of classic games, but a LOT of them are in poor playing condition. Q*bert-no sound, Donkey Kong joystick really loose, Tron spinner grinds/ tough to turn, others had issues as well. Too bad, I was really looking forward to a whole afternoon of retro gaming. I wound up spending all my tokens on pinball (awesome selection) and air hockey. Definitely go, but "spec out" the machine before you drop a token in.
2007-12-24MichaelPeople in San Jose are extremely close. Just take the 17 to the end, which puts you in Santa Cruz. I think that puts you on Ocean st. there should be signs. MapQUest people!!! But you're really close. Anyone in the East or South Bay should just go now.
2007-03-29AnonymousDo you know the way to San Jose?
2007-03-28JimmyCan Somebody possibly tell me how far this place is from San Jose?
2006-10-19BryanThis is the best arcade I've ever been to. No trip to Santa Cruz is complete without a stop here.
2005-10-06biscuitthree words "Disks of Tron". god, i had never played it before and fell in love. believe me this is THE place in cal for classic arcade lovers
2005-10-04CharlesBEFORE THERE WAS "KNIGHTS OF THE REPUBLIC," POD RACING," AND CERTAINLY BEFORE "EPISODE THREE" THERE WAS THE ORIGINAL STAR WARS VIDEO GAME. IM TALKING ABOUT THE ONE WITH THE A SIMPLE BLACK BACKGROUND AND HEXAGONAL-TYPE GRAPHICS. TRUST ME, WHEN YOU HERE OBI-WAN SAY "MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU, ALWAYS" WHEN YOU DIE, YOULL KNOW WHATS UP. STAR WARS/VIDEO GAME NERDS UNITE!
2005-02-20AineI grew up going to the Boardwalk, and the Casino has always been one of my favorite areas of the park. The first time I took my boyfriend there, his eyes lighted up like a kid on Christmas day. He kept saying, "Oh man! I used to play this game all the time!" The Casino not only has a great selection of classic and newer video games, but also some really early amusement machines. Admission is free, parking isn't.
2004-04-16JasonWent to Casino Fun Center April 3rd 2004 after finding this website. Went specifically for Defender. Wasn't disappointed except screen occasionally "blued out!" Robotron a bit dim but otherwise great time. Will go Back!
