2009-05-26KellyI go to NIU and found out about this arcade, what a find! Great games and they change out their newer games almost every week it seems. Check them out Kelly-DeKalb
2009-03-15BrentAwesome place. There is one room filled with the classics. There are a few pins here from the 70's to the 90's (an elctro-mechanical one too).
2008-01-14SeanYou have to see this place! A tone of 80's games that have been kept in nice shape after so much time. You can tell that they care about keeping the older games alive.
2007-07-21DavidSpace invaders kicks ass!
2007-04-25kyleIf you love the old Bally Sente games you will have to stop by star worlds. They have two and the owner says thier is plans on them adding a third one soon. I got to play mini golf and name that tune. KUTGW Star Worlds
2007-01-16AdamWe saw this arcade in GameRoom Magazine and had to take a 35 min drive out west. Well worth the trip, so many older games I haven't played in some time. Fun place for kids and even kids that are now grow up. Check them out when you have the time to burn.
2006-12-14FredWent out of my way to go here on 11-14-06. Arcade was suppose to open ar 2:30 p.m. Arcade still not opened at 3:00 p.m., I couldn't wait any longer. Thanks for nothing. Call the day before you go!
2006-10-20John Chicago ILNote to everyone, this site hasn't been updated in quite some time. I was at Star Worlds last weekend and they had way more classic games than what's listed here. If you want to check them out take a look at starworldsarcade.com Also Retroblast.com did a write up about them on oct 13th.
2006-07-13Michael EIf you want to feel 10 years old again. Then make a visit to Star Worlds Arcade. With the games and music you will feel like a kid again. Thanks!!!
2006-07-01Ken GageI remember when Star Worlds Arcade was THE arcade in St. Charles and, then, in Maple Park during the Eighties. Now it's in DeKalb on Route 38 and houses a collection of full-sized game machines and vintage video arcade memorabilia. Other than Northern Illinois University, STAR WORLDS ARCADE is about the only place in DeKalb worth visiting.
2006-05-16Josh ILThis place rocks and thier are many more classic games than listed. They have a crazy game called Domino Man that I got hooked on for hours. If your in the mood for a tone of retro game playing this is your place.
2005-05-31Neal BarrieOn an otherwise unspectacular business trip an hour or more west of Chicago, I happened upon STAR WORLDS ARCADE, and walked through the door, into a time wharp. My childhood world was there, as I left it. You MUST go.
