| 2008-01-19 | Chris | I have no way of confirming this but their Donkey Kong cab looks to be an original, and I do mean original. The cabinet is red-orange, which would mean that unless it is a restoration/conversion that was deliberately painted that color it is from Nintendo's original DK manufacturing run of converted Radar Scope cabinets. (The much more common baby blue cabs came a short while later.) The red cabs are pretty rare -- less than 3000 were made -- and this one is in excellent shape, as is their Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga - Class Of 1981, which is of course only a few years old. This place has great pizza, is open only for dinner, and is always absolutely packed. People often line up outside an hour before they open and you should do the same if you want to eat there, as the wait times can easily hit 90 minutes. |
